DiAddezzio uses geometry as the basis for all his work. It is said that mathematics is the only pure language in the universe but there is difficulty in using it as a language. The human mind cannot access the language in its abstract form. The artist takes this abstract principle and converts it into geometry so that it can be seen and accessed emotionally. The process he uses is a multi-layered approach. He creates complex matrixes that are then digitized; these are then assembled into collages in the computer, using one or multiple images. A background is created and this result is what he uses as his “electronic sketch” to paint his canvases. This process creates a result that is a marriage of art and technology.
DiAddezzio works with an internal necessity as described by Kandinsky in his “On the Spiritual in Art”, first published in 1912. He gets out of the way and lets the process take over. Observers have said it is as if he is on autopilot. This process of creating an original work that is then extended into yet another new original seems redundant but the results show a different story. The use of color and placement in his sketch are always changing until he gets it just right. The result is always a canvas that is filled with light and vibrant colors. He feels his originals are perfectly suited for this style and this is evidenced by the response of his collectors.
His work hangs next to Warhol originals and Peter Max originals; he has won international art competitions and done posters for international festivals. He is collected in the US and Europe and has done numerous magazine covers. DiAddezzio sees his work as a communication using art as the medium and those who have seen his work first hand agree.
